Thursday 19th February - walk *** – Around Felixstowe – cloudy, drizzle with light winds.

The gloom continues with yet more drizzle but at least the wind has dropped light making it feel milder! No hurry to get up especially as our van is still in the garage so no picnics today! I did my exercises followed by more yummy parsnip soup for lunch before setting off for the daily stroll down to the pier to watch some cool waves roll up the beach. There were several families out and about with a few kids getting wet feet being caught out by the waves. The tide had been over the prom which was covered in shingle and the beach level was pretty high in places too! There was loads of gulls eating a glut of washed up starfish! We then got a message from the garage saying it was ready to pick up so we continued towards The Fludyers before turning up towards the town. The van was not so expensive as we thought which was a result and is now hopefully ready for a trip to the French mountains in March! Home for a cuppa and a couple of rounds of fruit bread, we know how to live:)
